Programs created and supported by the Rugby Foundation of Western Australia work to break down barriers faced by community members, making Rugby Union more accessible and inclusive of all. Whether it’s providing resources to regional clubs, delivering programs for underrepresented groups, or creating pathways for players and coaches to reach their potential, the Foundation is committed to using rugby as a vehicle for positive social change across Western Australia.
The Regional Clubs subsidy program is designed to break down financial barriers for South West, Mid-West, Goldfields, Great Southern and surrounding regional teams, helping to support junior and senior rugby clubs. The subsidy program will contribute to essential costs such as travel, training field hire, jerseys, and partial accommodation, while also supporting the delivery and development of rugby in the growing regions.
Beyond removing financial barriers, this initiative will help build community enthusiasm for rugby in the regions and build momentum toward further establishing rugby as a sport of choice in the region.

The RugbyWA Boots Project aims to supply essential footwear to players who are experiencing financial hardship or disadvantage that limits their ability to play, helping to eliminate barriers prohibiting their participation and success in Rugby Union in Western Australia. The project ensures that all players have the gear they need to participate safely and confidently, helping remove cost as a barrier to involvement.
