The RugbyWA Boots Project

The RugbyWA Boots Project exists to ensure no player is sidelined due to cost.

As cost-of-living pressures continue to impact families across Western Australia, access to essential gear like proper footwear can become a barrier to participation. This initiative provides players with the boots they need to step onto the field safely and confidently.

By removing this barrier, the Boots Project helps keep players connected to their team, their club, and the game, supporting both participation and wellbeing across the Rugby Union community in Western Australia.

How to Apply

Applications for the RugbyWA Boots Project must be submitted by an official representative of an affiliated RugbyWA club on behalf of a player experiencing financial hardship or disadvantage.

To apply, representatives are required to complete the form below, providing the reason for nomination, the player’s shoe size and other key details.

Nominations are confidential, and we encourage clubs to apply if a player needs support.
