RugbyWA is pleased to announce that Connor McGoverne has been appointed to the position of General Manager Commercial, Brand & Communications.
McGoverne has spent the last twelve months with England Rugby as Communications Manager, working closely with the country’s extensive local rugby network whilst spearheading the development of a multi-layered commercial program which engages England’s former international players.
He brings with him an impressive resume, as a former television reporter and chief of staff, and parliamentary advisor, McGoverne comes to RugbyWA with a wealth of knowledge.
Growing up in country NSW and Canberra, where he completed a Bachelor of Communications at the University of Canberra, McGoverne understands the importance of strong partnerships with all stakeholders from all levels. Returning to his community rugby roots, McGoverne has played for Canberra Royals and Easts Rugby Canberra.
McGoverne says “ I am excited to head back to Australia and hit the ground running in what is a clear growth period for Rugby in Western Australia across all formats of the game.”

McGoverne will commence at RugbyWA in mid September.
