RugbyWA is proud to announce the athletes selected across the 2026 State Schools representative program, with squads confirmed for the Under 18 State School Boys, State School Girls 7s and Under 18 State School Girls XVs teams.

These selections recognise the dedication, commitment and performances shown by players throughout the State Schools campaign and mark an important step in their rugby journey.

The selected athletes will have the opportunity to represent Western Australia on the national stage, while continuing to develop within RugbyWA’s high-performance pathway.

RugbyWA Development and Pathways Manager Des Taurima said the State Schools program continues to play a critical role in identifying and developing the next generation of Western Australian rugby talent.

"These squads represent some of the most promising young players in our state.

“Selection is a reward for the effort and commitment shown throughout the program, and we're excited to see these athletes continue their development while proudly representing Western Australia,” he said.

RugbyWA also acknowledges the contribution of every player involved in the 2026 State Schools program.

Beyond the selected touring squads, a number of athletes have been recognised as shadow players, development players and unavailable/injured players. Their commitment, professionalism and contribution throughout have played an important role in the success of the program.

RugbyWA Pathways Coordinator Gavin Laycock said it was important to recognise the entire playing group.

"We believe it is important to recognise the contribution of every player involved in the program.

“The shadow and development players have been outstanding throughout the campaign, and this provides a valuable opportunity to gain exposure to the environment, expectations and standards required at this level, helping prepare them for future opportunities within the RugbyWA pathway."

Congratulations to all athletes on their selection and involvement in the 2026 State Schools program. We look forward to following your progress and wish all touring squads the very best as they represent Western Australia.
