Big attacking performances and plenty of points headlined Round 11 of the Women’s competition, with Wanneroo and Palmyra both producing dominant displays while Kalamunda and Southern Lions went head-to-head in a high-scoring contest. As the season enters its closing stages, every performance continues to shape the race ahead.
Wanneroo Rugby Club produced a commanding 62–5 victory over Cottesloe, showcasing their attacking firepower throughout the match. Ah-sam, Kifayatullah, Dickson, Monk and Wigley all crossed the line, with Petia starring with a hat-trick of tries. A penalty try also added to Wanneroo’s tally, while Kifayatullah converted five attempts. Cottesloe’s points came through Bennie, who scored a try for the team.
Palmyra Rugby Club continued their strong form with a 43–5 win over Perth Bayswater. Ravatudei led the way for Palmyra with two tries, joined on the scoresheet by Ratu, Ericsson, Johnstone, Edwards and Du Preez. Edwards also contributed with four conversions. Perth Bayswater responded through Waideman, who crossed for their only try of the match.
The closest contest of the round saw Kalamunda Rugby Club claim a 41–24 victory over Southern Lions Rugby Club. Kalamunda’s attack was led by Heke, who scored twice, alongside tries from Wallace, Sina Fiu, Wirangi and Kereopa, as well as a penalty try. Kereopa and Talau added conversions to help secure the win. Southern Lions fought strongly throughout, with O’Shea scoring a double alongside tries from Tanonef and Ramsey, with O’Shea also converting twice.
With the competition continuing to heat up, Round 11 showcased the attacking quality and competitiveness across the Women’s competition as teams continue their push towards the business end of the season.
