A shuffle at the top of the Fortescue Premier Grade is on the cards in Round 16 with up to seven clubs pushing for the finals.
Teams will be looking over their shoulders, checking the numbers, as an intriguing Saturday afternoon unfolds.
So, calculators out.
Starting from the top: UWA, with 48 points, are now just one point ahead of Palmyra after going down 29-21 to them in the last round.
Crucially, Palmyra have a game in hand and hold a massive points difference over the front runners, who face a potential banana skin game against Nedlands at The Foreshore.
A slip-up could see them lose top spot with Palmyra favourites to beat Joondalup Brothers.
Cottesloe are third, equal on 40 points with Associates with a vastly superior for-and-against difference - but Soaks have the game in hand.
Both sides have crucial games.
Cottesloe are away to fifth-placed Wests Scarborough who are just one point behind the Seagulls with a game in hand, while Associates travel to sixth-placed Perth Bayswater who are just three points adrift of the top four, in the Stan match of the week.
Even Nedlands in seventh cannot be written off if they strike a good run home.
Intriguing indeed.
Perth Bayswater, coming off the bye, have lost just one of their last eight games, beating UWA and drawing with Palmyra in the stretch.
Perth Bayswater coach Cale McCourt has built their game around a huge pack, but in recent weeks has strengthened the backline with a couple of new faces from Argentina and England.
"The bye came at a good time," McCourt said.
"We've had injuries, we were down number wise, we were trying to patch some holes, but we've had a few guys coming back and are almost back to full complement.
"We've got some new personnel that have made a difference.
"Now we've got guys in positions things are flowing and it's about finding combinations.
"Guys coming back will have to fight for their spot."
McCourt said a big emphasis had been put on strengthening the pack.
"We've done a lot of work on our scrum because it was shambolic last year," he said.
"That's been good but trying to get go forward ball from that has been a bit of a struggle.
"Hopefully now there are signs that we are clicking. I'm hopeful but never want to be over-confident.
"We've had two games where we have settled on a backline.
"Now we need to go back-to-back and keep the whole starting side together.
"Soaks are putting together some good rugby and they have plenty of strengths so it should be a good game."
In the final game of the round Wanneroo Districts and Southern Lions battle out in the cellar.
Wanneroo's season has gone from bad to worse.
Having been devastated with a season-long injury list the Roo Dogs have lost key backrower Harry Elbrow to Sydney and three weeks ago captain Luke Callan was lured to play for University of Queensland.
In the Championship, Perth Irish travel to second-placed Mandurah for the RugbyWA You Tube channel feature game.
