The Junior Carnival will be held over two days on October 10 and 11 and is open to teams from U8’s to U12’s with entry fee of $100 per team.
The event will be held at Leisure and Aquatic Centre with RugbyWA Development officers attending to assist the club with the administering of the event.
Last year over 12 metro and regional clubs attended the weekend's event, signifying the growth of rugby in the area.
Once again RugbyWA's Regional Development Manager Dane Lazarus will be attending the Junior 7s, outlining the importance of the event in growing the game in the Great Southern.
"Year after year the Albany 7s tournament has continued to grow and we expect the 2020 edition to be no different, Lazarus said."
"This carnival is so important for the area as it allows kids in the region to get their hands on a ball more and be able to have an opportunity to face kids from the metro clubs as opportunities are limited."
"Yet again we have set the bar high in the standard of event we want to run down there and we encourage all junior clubs to get involved and submit and team down, It's is always a fantastic weekend away."
