As RugbyWA moves through 2026, the organisation is focused firmly on the future, building strong foundations today that will shape rugby in Western Australia for years to come. With major global moments approaching and local momentum continuing to build, this is a defining period for the game in WA.

Western Australia is increasingly positioned as a gateway for international rugby. The return of the HSBC SVNS Perth, now locked in through to 2028, reinforces the state’s role on the global rugby calendar, while the countdown to the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup is accelerating interest, participation, and investment across the sport. Alongside future international Test matches and major events, these global opportunities are delivering tangible local impact - driving engagement, inspiring the next generation, and strengthening community rugby across the state.

Partnership remains central to this growth. RugbyWA’s partners play a critical role in enabling participation, strengthening community and inclusion programs, supporting player and workforce pathways, and delivering events that connect grassroots rugby with the international game. Their support underpins the long-term growth of the game, enabling rugby to expand, evolve, and thrive across Western Australia.

With strong momentum across participation, engagement, and social impact, 2026 represents a pivotal year. Expanding competitions, targeted regional development, and values-led community initiatives continue to create meaningful opportunities for partners to connect with diverse audiences through rugby, from local clubs to the global stage.

RugbyWA is pleased to welcome new partners Electrical Group Training and ID Athletic, who have commenced their partnerships in 2026. Their involvement strengthens RugbyWA’s ability to deliver high-quality programs and pathways and reflects a shared commitment to developing people, skills, and opportunity through sport.

The organisation also acknowledges the continued support of long-standing and returning partners, including Major Partners, Fortescue and Healthway, whose investment remains foundational to community participation, wellbeing, and performance outcomes. RugbyWA further thanks Mitsubishi Motors Australia and Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough for renewing their partnerships and continuing to support the growth of the game.

Building on the foundations established in 2025, RugbyWA continues to strengthen strategic relationships that create long-term value for the game and its partners. The execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with Defence West has opened new avenues for collaboration across community, industry, and international engagement, while government support secured for Rugby World Cup legacy initiatives is helping position rugby as a lasting contributor to participation, capability, and connection across Western Australia. Alongside this, the finalisation of RugbyWA’s Asian Engagement Strategy will expand pathways and commercial opportunities, reinforcing WA’s role as a gateway between community rugby, international competition, and emerging global markets. Together, these initiatives set a strong platform for continued growth, innovation, and shared opportunity in the years ahead.

For organisations exploring partnership opportunities, rugby in Western Australia offers a unique platform, combining global visibility with deep local connection. RugbyWA partnerships are designed to deliver genuine value, aligning brand objectives with community impact, major events, and long-term growth across the sport.

RugbyWA looks forward to strengthening existing relationships and welcoming new partners as the game continues to grow, evolve, and position Western Australia at the forefront of rugby’s global and local future.
