Fortescue Senior Grade Livestreamed Fixture

UWA vs Cottesloe, McGillivray Oval. Brockway Road, Mount Claremont. Kick-off at 3:30 pm.

Kicking off round 12 in the Fortescue Premier Grade will be yet another top of the table clash with UWA playing host to Cottesloe down at McGillivray Oval.

The visiting Cottesloe side should be running out confident this weekend, putting one a brilliant performance against Perth Bayswater last round.

Winner by a total of 47 points, Cottesloe only let Perth Basywater score five points on them.

Flanker Ethan Cayless continues to show he is one of the leading backrowers in the competition this year winning last month’s Fortescue Player of the Month.

UWA are also coming off a win from last weekend getting over the top of Kalamunda, with both teams playing so well it is impossible to choose who will come out victorious in this one.

Wanneroo vs Nedlands, Kingsway Reserve. Spectator Drive, Madeley. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

The second top four clash of the weekend will be second place Nedlands taking on fourth place Wanneroo.

Back up at the ‘Kennel’ this weekend Wanneroo return from a nail-biting victory over defending champions Associates last weekend.

Walking away with a one-point victory, Wanneroo put on display some solid defence leading to the low scoring encounter.

After putting an ample amount of points on Southern Lions last weekend Nedlands now sit just two points shy from the top spot on the Premier Grade table.

With the top four teams facing one-another this weekend Nedlands have an excellent opportunity to re-take the leading position on the ladder.

Southern Lions vs Wests Scarborough, Success Sportsplex. Hammond Road Sth, Success. Kick-off 3:30 pm.

As we head South this round, we will see Wests Scarborough hit the road to face Southern Lions.

The Boars didn't have any luck last weekend losing in an upset to the Coastal Cavaliers, going down by a point.

They will need to have a much-improved performance this weekend if they want to go on and challenge the top four clubs.

As for Southern Lions they didn’t have much success either going down convincingly to Nedlands.

Nemani Tuitubou performance came to light in last rounds game stepping up for the lions, the back-rower scored a try in second half on the game trying to spur on a late game comeback for his team.

Looking at the table the Southern Lions are still in a arms reach of making the Premiership Division if they can pull out a strong performance in this match.

Coastal Cavaliers vs Palmyra, Lark Hill. Warnbro Sound Avenue, Port Kennedy. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

Only a point out from the top six this next game for Palmyra will be crucial.

Another big performance will be needed from RugbyWA Senior Academy player Jackson Pugh if they hope to carry the momentum over from last week’s win over Curtin Uni.

The Coastal Cavaliers pulled off the upset of the year last taking out juggernauts Wests Scarborough in a 33-34 win.

The Cavs got the jump early on Wests putting up their points early in the game.

Bodie Etheredge was the standout performer in the win scoring two tries for his team.

If Bodie and his team can repeat a similar performance they could well keep Palmyra from cracking into the top six.

Expect to see a very physical and emotional match between these two teams with so much on the line late in the season.

Curtin Uni vs ARKs, Edinburgh Oval. Dumas Road, Bentley. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

There is no argument that Curtin Uni have had a tough first season in the Premier Grade however they are standing strong and looking to the future as 2020 recruitment has already started for the club.

Continuing on from this there is no doubt they have the heart and drive to pull off a win over ARKs in the last round before the split.

It won’t be easy as ARKs have been performing well as the season goes on defeating Joondalup Brothers by a considerable amount of points.

After returning from an ankle injury Sione Hifo has been playing outstanding for the ARKs men scoring two tries on the wing for his team.

Curtin will need to lay down some strong tackling if they hope to stop Hifo getting over the line.

Perth Bayswater vs Associates, Pat O’Hara Reserve. Wellington Road, Morley. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

Both Perth Bayswater and Associates didn’t have the game they were hoping for last round both walking away with loses.

Associates losing after the siren to Wanneroo and Perth Bayswater being overrun by Cottesloe on the road.

It will be a redemption game for both teams with a lot of the line for Associates in particular.

Sitting in sixth spot a win is crucial for Soaks clinging onto the last spot in the Premiership Division.

In the wake of a couple of injuries Colt Lachie Phillips has stood up to the plate for Associates in the last couple of rounds.

Playing at the halfback position the young RugbyWA development officer has held his own in the Premier Grade and will be looked at to help carry his team this weekend.

Joondalup Brothers v Kalamunda, HBF Arena. Kennedya Drive, Joondalup. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

The final game of this round it will be Kalamunda taking on Joondalup at HBF Arena.

With both teams unlikely to crack a spot in the Premiership Division this game will be focussed on setting themselves up for a rematch closer to finals time.

Kalamunda held their own last weekend but couldn’t crack a crucial win over top four team UWA.

Auega Seumanutafa continues to show he is one of the most dominant props in the competition, his ability to hold to Bulls scrum together has been an asset for his team.

As for Joondalup a win in this round will set themselves up well to make a push for a championship division title.

Placing sixth in the premiership division last year the team did not get to see any finals action and will be keen to dominant the lower half of the competition come August this year.
