RugbyWA is proud to celebrate the announcement that the HSBC SVNS will return to Perth for the next three years, reinforcing Western Australia’s reputation as a destination for world-class sport and community connection.

Set to take place at HBF Park on February 7–8, 2026, the tournament marks the third consecutive year that Perth will host the Australian leg of the international Sevens series. The renewed agreement - extending through 2026, 2027, and 2028 - is a testament to the success of previous events, which have brought global rugby to Western Australia and showcased the state’s capacity to host premier sporting experiences.

The HSBC SVNS is more than a tournament - it’s a celebration of athleticism, culture, and community. Each year, the event attracts international teams, passionate supporters, and thousands of visitors to Perth, generating economic impact and bringing global attention to the region. For local fans and aspiring athletes, it’s an opportunity to see the world’s best in action, right on their doorstep.

For RugbyWA, the return of the HSBC SVNS builds on a broader strategy to grow rugby participation and pathways across the state. Through initiatives like the West Coast 7s Series, RugbyWA continues to develop local players and provide them with opportunities to participate in the exciting Sevens format. The WA 7s tournament, which will be held on January 31 and February 1, 2026, just one week prior to the HSBC SVNS PER, serves as a launchpad for emerging talent while uniting clubs and communities in celebration of the game.

Together, these events highlight how rugby connects communities, inspires youth, and promotes inclusion across Western Australia, from grassroots clubs to the international stage. By bringing world-class rugby to local audiences, RugbyWA continues to bridge the gap between community sport and elite performance, fostering pride and participation at every level.

As Perth once again prepares to take centre stage, the return of the HSBC SVNS marks another milestone in Western Australia’s growing rugby story. It underscores the state’s ability to deliver premier sporting events while strengthening pathways for future generations of players, coaches, and fans.
