RugbyWA is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Strickland Metals, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of rugby across regional Western Australia. Strickland Metals will hold Naming Rights for the Wiluna leg of RugbyWA’s Regional Roadshow, as part of the agreement.
The Strickland Metals Regional Roadshow – Wiluna will see RugbyWA Development Officers deliver a series of rugby clinics throughout the Wiluna community, including tailored sessions at Wiluna Remote Community School. The program will also include a community wide 'Come and Try’ session, open to all residents, followed by a community sundowner, celebrating inclusivity and the unifying power of sport in regional Western Australia.
RugbyWA CEO, Simon Taylor, said: “We’re incredibly proud to welcome Strickland Metals as a partner in our mission to grow the game across regional Western Australia.
“The Strickland Metals Regional Roadshow – Wiluna provides an opportunity to foster connection and opportunity within regional Western Australia, and to create a lasting legacy in communities such as Wiluna. This partnership allows RugbyWA to extend our reach, and to empower the next generation from all corners of our state through our great game.”
Strickland Metals Managing Director, Paul L’Herpiniere, said: “We are delighted to be supporting RugbyWA with their initiative to expand the game into regional WA, as part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive contribution towards the communities in which we operate and we look forward to seeing the kids have fun whilst learning some new skills.”
The Strickland Metals Regional Roadshow – Wiluna will take place in later months of 2025.
