During the 2021 offseason, RugbyWA will be running the Female Development program and Emerging Talent program. An exciting program that will hope to not only draw in new players to the game but to develop those that currently reside within it.
The aim of the program will be to continue to engage a core group of female athletes in rugby and support their continued development. Throughout the programs there will be some key elements to which will be implement that include; Working to instil a more targeted and professional approach to training, build and develop a team culture, introduce and foster an understanding of basic strength and conditioning, as well as further develop the players’ technical skills set and tactical understanding of the sport.
Players attending the program will receive a comprehensive development coaching program including a strength and condition program from dedicated SnC coaches, access to a sports physio and specialist guest contributions in nutrition and recovery.

The program will be delivered in two 6 week blocks (November 8th– December 15th; January 27th– February 23rd), twice a week on a Monday and Wednesday evening, venues TBA.
The development squad program is open to girls Under the age of 16 (15s, 14s, 13s)
Entry to the program is via Rugby Xplorer by following the below steps:
- Select person to register
- Search and Select club “RugbyWA HP (Juniors)
- Select role “Player”
- Select registration type “XV Academy”
- Select Duration “Season”
