RugbyWA is thrilled to announce the renewal of its partnership with AFGRI Equipment Australia for another year, reinforcing a shared commitment to developing grassroots rugby across regional Western Australia.
As part of the renewed partnership, AFGRI Equipment will continue as the Naming Rights partner for the AFGRI Albany 7’s in 2025. This follows the success of the 2024 tournament, which saw over 70 junior teams take the field, making it RugbyWA’s largest 7’s event to date.
The AFGRI Albany 7’s is a key fixture in RugbyWA’s West Coast 7’s Series and will be the second of four tournaments in the 2025 schedule. The event will bring together teams from multiple age groups, including clubs from both metro and regional areas, ranging from Under 8s to Under 15s.
With AFGRI’s commitment to supporting the development of grassroots rugby in regional communities, their continued sponsorship of the AFGRI Albany 7’s aligns with RugbyWA’s mission to strengthen and grow rugby throughout the state.
RugbyWA CEO, Simon Taylor, said: “We’re looking forward to working with AFGRI, to build on the success of 2024, through the AFGRI Albany 7’s.”
“The South West is one of the many growing rugby communities in the state, and we’re so fortunate to be working within this region to continuously provide opportunities for growth and development. The AFGRI Albany 7’s was the biggest 7’s tournament we’ve hosted for junior participants, and we’re grateful to have AFGRI’s support as we once again see hundreds of junior players get involved in Rugby 7’s.”
