Round 11 delivered plenty of high-scoring action across the Fortescue Men’s Premier Grade, with five entertaining contests producing 331 points.
Nedlands produced the biggest result of the round, running in 11 tries to record a dominant 71-5 victory Joondalup Brothers. De Lange, Pschorn, Leavasa, Sangiorgi, Sheminant, Anderson, Louwrens, Koteka, Gosse and Marshall all crossed the line, alongside another try for the visitors, while Innes kicked six conversions and Robson added two. Walker scored a try for Joondalup Brothers.
Perth Bayswater outlasted UWA in an attacking showcase, claiming a 45-33 win. Tifa led the way with a double, while Saulala, Muavou and Stops also scored tries. Heuer enjoyed a perfect afternoon with four conversions and four penalty goals. UWA stayed in the contest through a Taylor hat-trick, with Lyons and Young also crossing, while Young added four conversions.
Palmyra contributed their strong form with a 31-17 win over Wests Scarborough. Leilua bagged a double, with Siataga, Lynch and Alatini also finding the try line. Morgan converted three tries. Wests Scarborough replied through Wilson and Baker, with Hooper and Cadzow adding a conversion each, while Cadzow also slotted a penalty goal.
Wanneroo secured a convincing 42-14 victory over Kalamunda. Reilly scored twice, with Crofts, Davis and Mulama also crossing, while Mainwaring was flawless from the tee with six conversions. Houkamau and Semu scored Kalamunda’s tries, with Jordan converting both.
The closest contest of the weekend came at Associates, where Southern Lions edged out the home side 37-36 in a thrilling one-point finish. Turagava starred for the visitors with a try, four conversions and three penalty goals, while Phipps, Leef and Bromley also crossed. Associates responded with tries from Tolmie, Phillips, Faoagali, Gowdy, Andrewartha and Grant, but fell just short despite Tolmie's two conversions and another from Pieters.
