The 2022 Australian Rugby Shield has concluded, and Perth Gold took third place.

Our WA boys have earned a much-deserved rest after their 3-1 winning record.

Their only loss came to the ACT Griffins with a nail-biting 6 - 10 finish.

Despite their loss Coach Alex Strajka was pleased with his boy's efforts.

"It was a disappointing loss to ACT, but I'm pleased with how well we bounced back against South Australia."

"It's upsetting we didn't make it to the Grand Final, l but we knew once we lost, it would be tough to get there."

"It was a challenge at the start to bring the boys together - they've just wrapped up a season where they were out to get each other and now they're teammates."

"Credit to them, they've gelled well together."

Perth Gold's next match will be on the 29th of October as they take on the Western Force.
