The Fortescue Women’s Premier Grade enters Round 12 this weekend, following last weekend’s big wins.

Emerging from Round 11, Wests Warriors have a 53-7 win against Cottesloe in their back pocket as they come up against close competitors, Palmyra.

Entering Round 12, Wests are set to face Palmyra for the second time in the 2024 season. The last time the sides met in Round 1, with their Round 8 matchup forfeited. The 12-7 result to Wests in Round 1 will be something the Warriors are looking to repeat, to potentially knock Palmyra from their third-place position.

In Round 11, Palmyra came up against Kalamunda Kweens, coming off second best with a final score of 22-13. Stella Masters (18’) scored Palmyra’s lone try, with Kendra Fell completing one conversion (19’) and two penalties (37’, 60’) for the side. From Kalamunda, tries were scored by Mahiti Heke, Wairakau Greif (2) and Jessica Aim, with one conversion from Libya Teepa.

With Wests creeping closer and closer to Palmyra on the Fortescue Women’s Premier Grade ladder, it will be do-or-die for both sides in Round 12, to fight for their position in the Top 3 of the season.
