Round 11 kicked off with a bang, seeing big scores and big upsets in the Fortescue Women’s Premier Grade.
Round 11 marked Mental Health Round, in partnership with Think Mental Health, and their 'Find Your Way to Okay' campaign. The ‘Find Your Way to Okay’ campaign acknowledges the unique circumstances and challenges experienced by young adults in Western Australia, and provides practical, evidenced-informed strategies to gain and maintain mental health and wellbeing. It acknowledges that we are all different and validates the process of exploring to find what works for you.

The last time Wanneroo Divaz lost a game was in 2023, when they lost the Grand Final to the Kalamunda Kweenz. This weekend, in a shocking upset, Kalamunda did it again, defeating the Divaz 15-12. A penalty from Nicole Ledington in the 43rd minute made all the difference, with two tries and one conversion each for the sides, pushing the side to victory. A huge battle between sides, the victory was Kalamunda’s 7th of the season after a rocky start, and has put the team comfortably in second on the competition ladder, over ten points ahead of Wests Scarborough in third.
Tries for Kalamunda were scored by Mahiti Heke (67’) and Terehia Cooper (26’), with one conversion (27’) and one penalty (43’) from Ledington. For Wanneroo, tries were scored by Ngamihi Monk and Kylah-Rey Tuheke Kupa, with a conversion from Teiana Mainwaring.
UWA saw one of their best performances so far in the 2025 season of the Fortescue Women’s Premier Grade, putting three tries and one conversion past a dominant Cottesloe side. Despite the Shegulls’ huge victory over the side, UWA put up a strong fight, crossing the line three times to mark their continued growth as a side. For Cottesloe Shegulls, there were big performances across the field with Bri Wallace securing a hat trick, while Ella Fountaine scored two tries for the side.
For UWA, tries were scored by Susie Cano, Atawhai Hotene and Nikita Hart, with one conversion from Sara Kifayatullah. Tries for Cottesloe were scored by Wallace (3), Fountaine (2), Grace Guyton, Gabby Muir, Tabitha Cleary, Mollie Wallace and Jessica Harvie. Six conversions for the side were completed by Jessica Foster.
In the Under 16 Girls competition, the Southern Lionesses had a big win over MPW Barbarians, 61-24. Isabella Prior had a try-scoring field day, crossing the line six times for Southern Lionesses, in addition to completing one conversion. Palace Koia also saw a hat trick, scoring three tries against the combined Mandurah, Palmyra and Wests Scarborough side. A big win for the Lionesses, it marks their seventh straight win in the junior competition.
Tries for Southern Lionesses were scored by Prior, Koia, Emmilea Prior and Ateca Ravatudei, with two conversions from Sereana Lua, and one from Prior. For MPW Barbarians, tries were scored by Hinemanu Tutaki, Psalm Suifili, Aalijah Manu and izzy Slater, with Slater also completing two conversions.
