RugbyWA announces Fenix Resources Ltd sponsorship of new regional Mid-West Club Subsidy Program.
RugbyWA is thrilled to announce a new sponsorship agreement between Fenix Resources Limited and RugbyWA.
Fenix is a successful Western Australian mining and logistics company with operations across the Mid-West. The business manages the full supply chain from mine to port and is focused on delivering high-quality iron ore to global markets.
Fenix is a fully integrated mining, logistics and port services business operating three iron ore mines in the Mid-West region of Western Australia and the new haul Road and Port Logistics business based in Geraldton. Since 2020, Fenix has created more than 300 new jobs in the Mid West. Fenix is focused on promoting opportunities for local businesses and the community.
Fenix will become a key sponsor of the newly launched club subsidy program, which aims to engage and grow participation in Rugby Union in the Mid West and other regions.
The program intends to provide means to reduce financial barriers to participation for regional participants, supporting the entry and travel of regional Junior and Senior clubs into RugbyWA’s West Coast 7s series, or future XVs events. Facilitating participation, this initiative will also work to support the reactivation of clubs in Geraldton, the Mid West and surrounding regions, fueling regional engagement.

Regional Subsidies Programs are now available for four of RugbyWA's regional areas, Mid-West, Goldfields, South West and Great Southern, as the expansion of the game throughout WA continues.
