#BeltUp Round 17 of the Fortescue Premier Grade Competition has seen the race for fourth spot on the ladder heat up heading into the final round!

The Mandurah Pirates have clinched the FMG Championship Grade trophy with a 27 - 12 victory over the Bunbury Barbarians. It was the perfect send-off for the Pirates as they went undefeated for the entire year.

If you weren't blown away by the wind this weekend, you would've been blown away by Round 17 of the Fortescue Premier Grade. The last week of the season is approaching fast, and there are only two teams guaranteed a finals spot. Perth Bayswater, Associates and Cottesloe are all tied on 50 points, with Perth Bayswater claiming the 4th spot by percentage.

The journey to the finals has been an uphill battle for Cottesloe, but they have almost made it with a win over Perth Bayswater. Cottesloe is edging closer to the finals with a 29 -17 victory.

After a convincing win over Associates, Wests Scarborough have secured a spot in the finals. A couple of tries from Wests Scarborough's Louie David helped the home side obtain a 38 - 19 victory, as Wests Scarborough is now two points behind UWA in top place.

UWA remain in the top spot after a 39 - 24 win over Nedlands. Although Nedlands played well in the second half, they couldn't recover from UWA's strong start. Nedlands is now sitting in third place, one point ahead of the three teams battling for the fourth spot.

ARKS claimed a 17 - 12 win over Joondalup, with the deciding try coming from ARKS Selwyn Kani.

Wanneroo bounced back from a tough loss to Palmyra last week to beat Southern Lions 20 - 15. With Wanneroo's victory, it seems the top two spots for finals are all locked in.

Kalamunda had a clean sheet against Rockingham with a 36 - 0 win over the visitors.

The Alcohol Think Again Women's competed in a thrilling weekend of rugby, with all the games played at Tompkins Park.

The Kala Kweens defeated Wanneroo 28 - 0 in the Premiership Grade, with Cottesloe getting the best of Wests Scarborough 44 - 0.
