Round 3 of the Women’s Fortescue Premier Grade delivered a mix of dominant performances, impressive development, and a thrilling finish, with Western Force Super W representatives making a strong impact across the competition. Their influence was evident in key moments, helping shape outcomes and lift the quality of play throughout the round.
Wanneroo produced a commanding performance to defeat Kalamunda 27–0, controlling the tempo and applying consistent pressure throughout the contest. The visitors ran in five tries through Kereopa, Banza, Heather and a double to Petia, while Te Tana added a conversion. Despite the result, Kalamunda showed resilience throughout, with strong effort across the field.
Wests Scarborough secured a solid 39-15 victory over Perth Bayswater in an industrious team performance built on attacking efficiency. Wests were clinical with ball in hand, with Kovacs and Moli crossing for two tries each, alongside tries from Kahwajian, Taylor, and Harrison. Conversions were shared between Garner and Hiini in a well-rounded attacking display. Perth Bayswater continue to build strongly in Premier Grade, crossing the try line three times through Munro, Panariello, and Malie. In just their second match at this level, the side showed clear improvement and resilience, with their commitment and cohesion continuing to grow.
In a tightly contested clash, Palmyra edged out Southern Lions 26-24. Both sides were well-matched throughout, trading tries in an entertaining contest. Palmyra’s defensive resilience ultimately proved the difference, holding firm in the closing moments after Southern Lions crossed late but narrowly missed the conversion that would have evened the score. Johnstone led the way with two tries for Palmyra, supported by tries from Tafa and Dunn, while Sugrue added three important conversions. For Southern Lions, Ross and Rule both scored two tries each, with Ross adding two conversions.
