Round 10 of the Fortescue Women’s Premier Grade competition delivered two exciting match-ups across the weekend, with one fixture still to be played on Thursday night as teams continue their push towards the finals.

Cottesloe secured an important 22-10 victory over Kalamunda in a competitive Round 10 contest, with four tries helping them claim a 12-point win. Kalamunda came out firing, with Heke crossing the line twice to keep her side in the contest. Cottesloe responded with a strong attacking performance, finding the try line four times throughout the match. Mountain, Hart, Harvie and Foster all crossed for tries, with Foster also adding a successful conversion to round out the scoring. The result sees Cottesloe continue their strong form as the competition heads towards the finals, while Kalamunda will look to bounce back after a tough battle.

Palmyra continued their strong run of form with a 33-20 victory over Southern Lions in a high-scoring contest. Southern Lions showcased their attacking threat throughout the match, crossing four times through Wilson, Ross (x2) and Briggs to keep themselves within striking distance. Palmyra’s five-try performance proved the difference, with Edwards scoring twice alongside tries from Ratu, Lea and Mahaki. Mahaki added one conversion, while Edwards contributed three conversions to help secure the 13-point win. Both sides produced plenty of attacking opportunities in an entertaining contest, with Palmyra taking the points and strengthening their position as the finals race begins to heat up.
