This weekend’s BeltUp match of the round sees Wanneroo host Neldands up at the Kennel. Both teams are looking to make it three on trot with last year’s fixture finishing in a draw.
Wanneroo welcome back to the starting team captain Andrew King, hard hitting lock Setafano Launiuvau and Western Force star Ollie Callan. Nedlands have had to call upon veteran centre Ammon Matuauto to cover for the in-form Jackson Neilson who has been ruled out with injury.
All eyes will be on the super-charged benches of both sides with Wanneroo keeping flyer Skinny Grey and flanker Darcy Hinkley fresh. Likewise, Nedlands have the two bruise brothers Zantana Pomare and Blake Phillips coming on in the 2nd half to help bust some holes in the Roo Dog’s defence.
Wanneroo will need to control Nedlands’ momentum through the middle of the park to ensure they maintain field position. Nedlands will have to keep realigning their troops out wide as the Wanneroo electrifying backs looks for space.
