The entire WA club rugby community came together over the weekend to celebrate the launch of the 2020 Senior Rugby Season and attended the first ever Rugby in WA conference.

142 club members and referees came down to RugbyWA HQ las Saturday to gain and insight on the inner workings of RugbyWA and learn how they can work together to grow the game in WA.

Employees of every department in RugbyWA spoke about their roles and responsibilities and presented a number of offerings and programs that clubs can take advantage of throughout the 2020 season.

Referees and coaches were treated to a Game Management and Guidelines session, both parties went through the new competition rules for the season and outlined some of the key focus for the year.

RugbyWA CEO Bob Hunter was extremely pleased with the event outlining the importance of regular and effective communication with all of the local Rugby clubs.

“Saturday was a great day, it was a brilliant use of the RugbyWA HQ facility and the number that attended was outstanding and a first for WA community rugby,” Hunter said.

“Meaningful and effective communication is key to getting all the clubs on board to help grow the game.”

“RugbyWA have many new and exciting opportunities in 2020 and to give clubs full clarity around what we do here is a really good step forward into the future.”

All presentation slides of the evening was distributed to the club rugby community and also can be seen below.
