State teams announced for U18s championships.

RugbyWA has released its Girls and Boys U18s teams ahead of the state championships which will be played across the country in July.

The RugbyWA State U18s girls team come into this tournament with high expectations looking to back up their maiden first place in the tournament last year.

The Girls will travel to NSW to the compete at the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation in Narrabeen, North Sydney where they will play in a three-day tournament commencing on the 11th of July.

Callum Payne will again take the role of head coach for the side looking to make his record an impressive two from two.

Christain Cano and Super W star Taylor Waterson will be acting as assistant coaches, Waterson’s presence in the team shows the next generation of coaching coming through the RugbyWA ranks as well as acting as a role model for the young athletes.

The RugbyWA state boys’ team will prepare to travel around the country to play in three separate matches.

The first of which will be at home against the NSW Waratahs on the sixth of July, kicking off at 12:30 pm Palmyra Rugby Club will be hosting the match prior to the Fortescue Reserve and Premier Grade matches.

The team will move east for their next two matchups facing the Melbourne Rebels on 19th of July and the ACT Brumbies in Albury on the 21st of July.

Jack Lloyd will be taking the reins as head coach backed up by Andy Cole and Tim Carslaw rounding out a very strong coaching group for the boy’s side.

Both sides will be wearing a new and improved black and gold state playing kit provided by RugbyWA's official supplier Paladin Sports.
