Fortescue Senior Grade livestreamed fixture

Wanneroo vs Wests Scarborough, Kingsway Reserve. Spectator Drive, Madeley. Kick off at 3:30 pm

It will be a clash of the titans first up in the Fortescue Premier Grade as Wests Scarborough head up to Kingsway Reserve to play Wanneroo.

Everything has come together for Wanneroo leading into this match, Western Force duo of Andrew Deegan and Leon Power will join the ‘Roo-Dogs’ bolstering the ranks of a start studded team.

Wests Scarborough will need to pull out all the stops for this matchup however with fullback Jerome Leonard continuing to tear up the field it is almost a sure thing that Wests will be dangerous on attack.

Leonard almost had a hand in every try for Wests as they beat Joondalup last weekend nevertheless facing a team like Wanneroo, they will need to step it up on defense facing a team with four Future Force athletes and plus two from the Western Force.

This match certainly won’t be one to miss as the result could have big implications in the competitions top four.

UWA vs Associates, McGillivray Oval, Brockway Road, Mount Claremont. Kick-off at 3:30 pm.

Down at ‘the Library’ this weekend it will be Associates coming into town to face historic rivals UWA.

Coming into this round UWA have defiantly established themselves as the best team in the Fortescue Premier Grade to date.

Flanker Connor Spence will be a player to watch this weekend as his work rate around the field and skill carrying into contact can prove a powerful asset for his team.

Associates will be no push over however looking to recover from their back to back losses, they will be relieved to know that second rower Lachie Valentine will be returning to the squad.

With these two teams being rivals since Associates formation almost 71 years ago expect to see a lot of emotion and intensity in this game with central bragging rights on offer.

Curtin Uni vs Coastal Cavaliers, Edinburgh Oval. Dumas Road, Bentley. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

Both of these clubs have a chance to bag their first win of the season in this round providing an opportunity for either club to build some momentum.

Playing as the hosts Curtin University came off a much-improved performance last weekend only going down to Perth Bayswater by 29 points.

Prop Quentin Hay was a standout in last week’s game scoring the ‘Goats’ only try, his ability to hold up this front-row could spell out wins for this Curtin team in the future.

The Coastal Cavaliers have been extremely unlucky this year coming up short in a lot of extremely close games.

The talent they have run out this year is still shining, proving that there is a lot of potential coming out of the southern region around Rockingham and Mandurah.

No matter the score this game will be hotly contested with both teams starving for their first win.

Palmyra vs Southern Lions, Tompkins Park. Canning Highway, Alfred Cove. Kick-off 3:30 pm.

Another southern clash this weekend as the men from Success come up to the ‘Oasis’ to face Palmyra.

Palmyra have gotten back on a roll recently defeating top team UWA last weekend.

Outside centre Marcus Arrindell has been dominating the competition so far picking up April’s Belt Up Colt of the Month.

He will be a player to watch out for this weekend as his ability to beat defenders around the outside is second to none in this competition.

The Lions had a difficult loss last weekend getting off to a beautiful 21-point lead to start, only to be run down in the second half.

This weekend they’ll need to hold their defense for the full eighty minutes if they hope to stop this powerful Palmyra side.

Joondalup vs Cottesloe, HBF Arena. Kennedya Drive, Joondalup. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

After coming away with yet another win at home last weekend Cottesloe will now hit the road to HBF Arena to face the Joondalup Brothers.

Cottesloe seemed to have gotten back to their winning ways again taking away their last four games on the trot.

The return of Western Force player Ben Grant has been a powerful boost for this club adding another level of intensity to an already incredible forward pack.

However, the Brothers are starting to return to form only going down to Wests Scarborough by two points last weekend.

Local hero Clay Uyen will be handy addition for this team as the dynamic winger will be joining his junior teammates as the squad boasts a total of eleven Premier Grade players that have come through the Brothers junior pathway.

Joondalup has built up a ton of momentum over the last couple of weeks which could well form into a great game come Saturday.

Nedlands vs Perth Bayswater, The Foreshore. Cnr Broadway & Esplanade, Nedlands. Kick-off 3:30 pm.

After beating Kalamunda last weekend Nedlands Premier Grade side will look to secure their spot in the top four searching for a win against Perth Bayswater.

The last game showed some slick backline moves from Neddies beating Kalamunda by 23 points, Kauri Cudd was a big factor in the match running powerful lines off fly-half David Neilson.

‘The Numbats’ secured their second win of the season last weekend taking out Curtin Uni in the competition’s first night game.

Tyrese Grey put on a good performance controlling his team, the distinctive fly-half has good vision including a knack of putting his teammates into space.

It’ll take a big performance for Perth Bayswater to get over Nedlands this weekend however with how the Grey brothers have been performing lately they could give this one a real crack.

Kalamunda vs ARKs, Hartfield Park. Morrison Road, Forrestfield. Kick off at 3:30 pm.

Finally, it will be RugbyWA cup holders ARKs travelling across to the ‘Bull Pen’ this weekend set to take on a young Kalamunda side.

ARKs have been seriously impressive over the last couple of weeks taking out Associates and Southern Lions in their last two games.

The combination of Captain Russell Burges and Western Force star Harrison Orr in the backrow has been unstoppable for ARKs, their ability to secure the ball really makes it easy for the backline to turn good play into points.

The Bulls are still searching for a bit of momentum losing their last three games, this new squad is very different from what we saw last year.

However, the future looks bright for this side as a lot of young player are now stepping up to the plate and dominating.

Winger Usaia Ralulu has been on fire recently, his ability to find the try line has been contagious and his leadership really lifts this Kalamunda side.
