Every winning team has its heroes – but true success goes far beyond the players on the field. It’s driven by the dedicated match officials, coaches, and volunteers who make rugby possible. RugbyWA’s Team Behind the Team celebrates the essential game makers working beyond the try line. 

This is your opportunity to nominate someone who deserves to be recognised for their passion and dedication to growing rugby in Western Australia. Each month, a match official, coach and volunteer from throughout the rugby ecosystem will be selected by RugbyWA or WARURA to be acknowledged for their work within the rugby community.  

PLUS – each winner will go into the draw to win an overnight stay experience at Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough! 

Nominate someone who deserves recognition for their contributions to the RugbyWA Community! To go in the running: 

• All match officials must be fully qualified and accredited with WARURA and have officiated or developed at least five games. 
• All coaches must have current SMART Rugby and Season Ready accreditations and be registered with their clubs. 
• All volunteers must be registered in Rugby Xplorer as a volunteer to their clubs. 
• All coaches, match officials and volunteers must embody RugbyWA’s values of teamwork, excellence and respect.
