The Containers for Change Impact Ladder is a RugbyWA initiative that turns everyday recycling into real impact for clubs, communities, and the environment.
Every eligible 10c container returned helps reduce waste, generate funding for grassroots rugby, and move your club up the leaderboard.
This is where sustainability meets club pride.
Clubs are ranked on the number of eligible containers collected – creating a friendly competition that rewards effort, engagement, and community participation.
- What’s in it for clubs:
- Up to $250 (incl GST) in support for recycling and promotional activity
- A chance to win a $2000 club prize (funded by the Rugby Foundation of WA)
- Recognition as a leader in both sustainability and grassroots engagement
Getting started is simple:
- Club Administrators need to register your club via Containers for Change
- Receive your unique club code
- Share it across players, families, and supporters
- Start collecting eligible containers and climb the Impact Ladder
RugbyWA will support clubs with resources and promotion throughout the campaign.
This is a program built for everyone in the rugby community.
- Return eligible drink containers to any refund point
- Donate your 10c refund to your nominated RugbyWA Club or the Rugby Foundation of WA
- Encourage teammates, families, and friends to get involved
