Entering the School Competitions pathway is the next step in the school rugby ecosystem. Students will have the opportunity to play competitive rugby against other schools, putting their learnt skills to the test out on the field.
Becoming involved in the schools competition pathway will put both yourself and your students on the Western Force Cup Pathway, offering a furthered rugby experience with Gala Days and Finals putting students in the sights of professional staff, and Teacher PD sessions to elevate educator engagement and understanding in the sport.
RugbyWA offers school competitions across all three formats - 10's, 7's and Tri Tag. Competitions are run across Terms 1, 2, 3 & 4.
School Competitions
Rugby 7's Competitions are set to be run in Term 1. 7's are a fast-paced alternative to the traditional game, with 7 on the field and two 7-minute halves.
The UWA Western Force Cup is run in Term 2 & Term 3. The UWA Western Force Cup is the top public schools competition in WA.
Tri Tag school competitions will be run in Term 4. Tri Tag is non-contact and attack-based, with 7 players on the field and 15-minute halves.
