What a fantastic way to send off the final round of the 2022 FMG Premier Grade Competition. It wasn't without heartbreak as two teams narrowly missed out on the finals.

Reigning Premiers, Cottesloe has been knocked out of the finals with a one-point loss to UWA, 19 - 20. Cottesloe missed out on a place in the top four by one point. Finishing top of the ladder, UWA have become the Minor Premiers of 2022.

Perth Bayswater secured third place with a 23 - 14 victory over Associates. With the loss, Associates will miss out on the finals. Perth Bayswater's Otumaka Mausia's accuracy helped the home side get over the line.

Despite a one-point loss to Wests Scarborough, Nedlands snuck their way into the fourth spot. A couple of tries from Nedland's Justin Zietsman were not enough to get the home side over the line. Wests Scarborough finished the season in second place after the 26 - 27 victory.

Division 2 of the FMG Premier Grade still has a couple of rounds left for the season before their finals.

One of the teams likely to make it there is Wanneroo which had a 27 - 47 victory over Joondalup.

Topped-placed Palmyra had a 44 - 10 win over third-placed Southern Lions, which now puts them 11 points away from second place.

Rockingham had a win in front of a home crowd over ARKS 48 - 10.

With the two teams missing out on finals and the top four now set in stone, we can expect a thrilling finals series, which kicks off on Saturday September 3!
