This year’s Annual General Meeting will be held on April 28th, 2025, at 6.00pm here at the Rugby WA offices in Floreat.
Three Board Member vacancies will be up for election at the AGM.
RugbyWA’s Board is looking for a gender balanced and inclusive board and encourages Clubs and Affiliates to consider putting forward female candidates along with candidates with diverse backgrounds, a knowledge and or passion for our game, specific skills and experiences that will contribute to the strategic growth of the game in WA, along with their demonstrated alignment to RugbyWA’s Purpose, Values and Behaviours.
Rugby WA recently conducted an Expression of Interest process to encourage potential, suitably qualified candidates to submit their interest in joining the Board. This process resulted in a high number of quality candidates being identified as potential Board Members and it was very encouraging to gauge the level of interest in doing so.
To this end, I can confirm today sees the commencement of our Call for Nominations process. We encourage clubs to identify and nominate candidates that possess the required skills and knowledge to support the continued growth of the sport, specifically in the areas of:
- Legal & Government Relations (Commercial)
- Female rugby specialist (Community/Network/Influence)
- Rugby sport experience (Network/Connections/Influence)
