Three Western Force players have been named by Wallabies head coach David Rennie to take part in next month’s three-day training camp on the Gold Coast.

Capped Wallaby Sitaleki Timani and promising young talents Feleti Kaitu’u and Tim Anstee will be part of the 40-man squad.

Timani, who has 18 Tests to his name, returns to the Wallabies setup after an eight-year absence following an impressive string of performances since returning to the Force earlier this month from France.

After earning a place in the Wallabies training camp at the end of the 2020 Super Rugby AU campaign last September, hooker Kaitu’u continues to be in the frame to earn his first cap.

Former Australian Sevens representative Tim Anstee earns his first call-up to a Wallabies training camp after making a seamless transition to the 15-man game.

Head of rugby Matt Hodgson is delighted for the trio.

“This is a reward for hard work, dedication, and consistency,” Hodgson explained.

“A key part of our recruitment strategy was to bring Wallabies back home to Australia, and to have Timani selected is very pleasing for us.

“All three of them deserve the call-up and I’m sure they will make the most of this fantastic opportunity in front of the national selectors.”

The camp comes ahead of the International season, which is scheduled to take place in the July Test window.
