Following the success of last year’s RugbyWA Girls Club clinics, the program will be continuing for a second straight year kicking off on Friday, March 5.
The clinics will target all female players aged 12 to 17 years and will cater for all skill levels giving a chance for girls to make new friends, develop their skills and get involved in all formats on the game.
Girl's Club aims to teach new techniques and build on current skills through the use of drills and match play with the goal of building confidence in young women in the game and more importantly within themselves.
Girl's within the program will learn in two parts with the start of the session being skill focussed and technique based before translating into gameplay situations towards the end of the evening sessions.
The sessions will be directed by RugbyWA's high level accredited coaches as well as our Super W players, giving girls the best opportunity to meet and train with their professional counterparts.
For the first time, Girl’s Club will be heading to HBF Park with Girl’s getting an opportunity to play under lights playing as a curtain raiser game prior to the Western Force kicking off in Super Rugby.
All young women of all skills levels are encouraged to come down and participate whether they are new to the game or highly experienced there will be a position for everyone.
Registration is as easy as ever through the Rugby Xplorer App or the Rugby Portal, each participant can sign up using a training only registration through their chosen club.
