Associates Rugby Club have announced new appointments to their coaching staff for the 2021 season including former Norths coach Sape Misa as new club head coach.
Sape joins Associates from Northern Suburbs in NSW where he had coached for the last five years acting as an assistant coach for their Shute Shield side in 2019 and 2020.
He also coached NSW at a state representative level acting as a scrum coach in the NSW Waratahs Academy as well as playing the role of assistant coach in Sydney City’s URC side.
Excited about the move to Perth, Sape has already gotten started on assessing the talent within last year’s minor premiership side.
“I am humbled and excited to be appointed as Associates Head Coach, I have been reviewing match footage and I am very much looking forward to working with a talented player and coaching group,” Misa said.
Misa will work with the club’s existing coaching staff as well the club’s tactical specialists Ryan Parkin and Paul Mulready to work towards the further development of the Colts and Senior player skill bases.
2021’s change of coaching structure and Misa’s appointment proves Associates’ ongoing commitment to development Western Australian Rugby at Junior, Colts and at the Senior levels.
