RugbyWA are pleased to announce that modified training will be able to resume under the guidelines set by the state government from Monday May 18th 2020.

The encouraging move towards the return to community rugby comes after the release of the State Governments Community Sport Roadmap outlining the ease in restrictions around group gatherings as announced yesterday by WA Premier Mark McGowan.

The Guidelines that are set to come into effect on May 18th will initiate Phase 2 conditions in the management plan which will be applied to all community sport allow the return to club trainings.

To ensure a safe return, RugbyWA and the RugbyWA Junior executive have created a set of rugby specific return to play guidelines based on the conditions that have been set from the state government.

This list includes a number of guides and protocols specific to clubs, coaches and players allowing them to continue to train in the safest possible manner.

Clubs will make their own plans around these guidelines and communicate these out to their members, this includes putting in place a COVID-19 Safety Plan that fits with local council/government requirements.
