Rugby Australia has introduced a new Expedited Disciplinary Process for Team Officials within the Playing Enclosure, which will apply across RugbyWA Junior (U13+) and Senior competitions.
The pilot has been designed to strengthen sideline behaviour standards, support match officials, and provide a clearer and faster process for managing misconduct involving coaches, managers, water runners and other team officials.
The process reinforces referee authority within the playing enclosure and outlines how incidents involving abuse, intimidation or inappropriate conduct towards match officials will be managed and escalated.
Importantly, there is no change to existing player foul play procedures, with the key change being the formalised disciplinary process for Team Officials.
Please review the full overview document below for details on how the pilot operates, reporting procedures, disciplinary outcomes and key responsibilities for clubs and team officials.
