All Abilities Rugby is safe and enjoyable, accommodating mixed abilities and experience levels. At All Abilities Rugby, we embrace individuals of all abilities, creating a supportive environment for everyone to enjoy rugby and become part of our rugby family.
RugbyWA has three amazing clubs with All Abilities Teams: Southern Lions, Perth Bayswater and Wanneroo Rugby Union Club. Our primary objective is to create an inclusive club environment where everyone can relish the experience of playing rugby while forging lifelong friendships.
Sense Rugby is a rugby based Occupational Therapy program designed to help kids who usually find it difficult to be part of a sports team. There are many reasons why kids may struggle to find success and enjoyment in sport. Calm and Connected, who run the program, are here to help you get to the bottom of it and send them on their way to success.
Sense Rugby is a program run during the school term in collaboration with RugbyWA Clubs. Each groups is supported by an Occupational Therapist, Rugby Coach and helpers.
The following age groups are available:
- 4-7 year olds (Juniors)
- 8-11 year olds (Intermediates)
Our All Abilities program is designed to welcome and include players of diverse abilities, but we want to be transparent that for those in a wheelchair, this particular program might present some physical challenges.
However, we encourage you to explore Rebound WA, who specialise in wheelchair rugby. They offer a fantastic environment tailored for players in wheelchairs, ensuring you can enjoy the full experience of rugby in an inclusive and supportive setting. We highly recommend reaching out to Rebound WA to get involved!
