RugbyWA FMG Premier Grade Competition Update

At the conclusion of Round 13's fixture, the FMG Premier Grade Competition will split.

Updated fixtures for Round 14 onwards will be made public by Tuesday morning.

The top 6 teams will continue to play in the FMG Premier Grade Division 1, while the latter seven teams will continue to play in the FMG Premier Grade Division 2 (formerly known as Championship). Fixtures, as well as the Home and Away split will be based on where teams are placed on the competition ladder. Teams in positions 1,2,3 will be allocated an additional Home fixture in the final five rounds of the season (three Home games), teams in positions 4,5,6 will have two home games in the final five rounds.

Competition (Ladder) points will continue over after the competition Round 13 split. There will be a general BYE round for the FMG Premier Grade Division 1 before Semi Finals (top 4) The Premier Grade teams finishing in the First and Second position on the ladder at the conclusion of round 18 will be the host venue for Senior semi-finals, as well as round 7 of the Division 2 competition, subject to meeting the venue requirements.

Division 2 Competition will continue for seven rounds based on ladder position. All teams will play each other once, with an equal 3 home and 3 away fixtures, plus 1 team BYE.The Division 2 Grand Final will be a straight First vs Second final played on Grand Final day. The two competitions will have separate ladders and finals.

Reserve Grade and Third Grade fixtures will follow the Premier Grade fixtures from Round 14 through to Round 20.Division 2 Competition will continue for 7 more rounds based on ladder position. All teams will play each other once, with an equal 3 home and 3 away fixtures, plus 1 team BYE.

Note: Premier Grade Teams will not compete in Division 2 post round 13, the two competitions will have sperate ladders and finals.
