RugbyWA will be hosting a Women’s in rugby forum with the intention of planning and developing Girls and Women’s rugby in the state.

The meeting is an opportunity to bring all stakeholders regarding Women’s rugby together and develop new ideas around the game plus improve initiatives already in place by RugbyWA.

The day will include and presentation and discussion around how the community can capture opportunities to improve the game into 2020 and beyond.

The major focus will range around a number of engagements in planning for next year’s competition, juniors and HP that have already been started by RugbyWA and RugbyWA Juniors, including (but not limited) to the following:

Junior Development – introduction to Rugby.

             U/15 & U/17/18 Competition + Development program.

             Academy and HPP opportunities.

             Female Coaching development.

             State team programs – 7s & XVs.

             AON 7s.

Senior Women’s – current trends, club development.

Rugby WA Strategic and Operational Plan.

This Forum is not one to be missed by anyone who is eager to contribute to the Women’s game in the state and we highly encourage anyone from the community to come along if they wish to gain insight or want to be involved in development and planning for the years ahead.
