In the Fortescue Premier Grade match of the round, we see a rematch of the 2020 grand final, with Cottesloe (12th) host Associated (9th) in what no doubt be a grudge match. There have been significant personnel changes that saw both teams reach the penultimate game in 2020, however the scrum battle should pick up from where it left off.

Cottesloe will be relying on a solid scrum platform to gain ascendency and make their way down the field and release their backs, with the inclusion of Western Force and USA Eagle Marcel Brache to don the seagull’s jersey this weekend to support the in-form Greg Jackson who has taken a trade-like performance over the last few rounds. Cottesloe may be sweating on the fitness of flanker Cohen Mason.

Associates need Tevita Sifa to be firing on all cylinders to get his team on the front foot, Tevita has shown he can provide the spark in attack and can be lethal in open space. With the inclusion of Tonga Fiefia Lotefia, Sifa Amone and Alex Masibaka to the side, should increase the intensity from the Associates team. The key to a win for Soaks will be their defensive systems as the phases build up.
