Rugby Australia is pleased to announce a new Digital Coaching Hub that has the power to be a game changer for Community Rugby.

Powered by developers Slocoach, the platform will host educational video bundles and a series of eight-week session plans for all coaches of any age group.

Coaches who register will receive new session plans each week designed to develop the age-appropriate skills, technical and tactical knowledge of their players.

The Digital Coaching Hub allows coaches and players to learn in their own time to refine their Rugby knowledge with the convenience of online training.

Rugby AU CEO Andy Marinos said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for all our community coaches, whether highly experienced or new to the game, to get the latest coaching resources that are designed to help them as coaches and further develop their players.

“This new initiative is yet another clear sign of Rugby Australia’s commitment to the community game. We appreciate that a number of our coaches are volunteers, so it is important to deliver this content in a format that is both readily available and adaptable to fit in with current work schedules. We believe this will provide a valuable step in the progression of Rugby coaches through our system.

“The platform allows coaches to receive expert information, all aligned within a broader national curriculum, to ensure the highest quality of professional development.

“The Digital Coaching Hub ensures far greater connection within our Rugby family. The Hub will ultimately allow more junior Rugby players to access training, which will inspire our next generation of Wallabies, Wallaroos and Australian Sevens players,” Marinos said.

Rugby Australia’s Digital Coaching Hub is available via the Rugby Xplorer Portal.
