RugbyWA is looking forward to a new and fresh 2020 and have opened up new roles for casual development officers to start in the new year.
In a new initiative RugbyWA are looking for new club aligned applicants ready to work in the catchment of their own club encouraging new players into the club system out of school development programs.
With the club aligned system metro and regional clubs can take advantage of their very own RugbyWA funded and fully qualified development officer to use at nearby school and club programs.
The Role
- To deliver Rugby sampling and promotional initiatives/programmes throughout Perth and selected Country Areas
- To deliver junior participation, recruitment, retention, coach education & club development programmes.
Responsibilities – Responsible to Regional Development Manager
Knowledge, abilities and skills required
- Current Working with Children Check
- Driver’s License
- Demonstrated experience in working with and instructing children.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering programs.
- A knowledge of the primary and secondary school sport systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A passion for sport
- Self-motivation, a strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- An ability to work as part of a small and committed professional team.
- A current ARU Level 1 Coaching Accreditation or equivalent is desirable.
- A current ARU Level 1 Refereeing Accreditation is desirable.
