What a weekend as ARKs Rugby Club played host to the second round of the RugbyWA Finals Series with teams fighting for a chance to steal a final spot in the RugbyWA Junior Grand Finals.
This week’s finals were as tight as ever with many games coming down to the wire.
Some of the highlights of the day came from Swan Suburbs win over Mandurah in the Under 12s Swan Division where Swan’s ability to get the ball wide and give it to their outside backs proved dividends for the team using their speed to run around the Mandurah defense.
Palmyra had a cracking last-minute win over North Coast in the Under 11s Swan Division, a late full field try was enough to take victory from the jaws of defeated for the young Pally side scoring under the posts with only minutes remaining.
Two electric games closed out the day as the Under 15s and Under 17s were the last two to play with Kalamunda coming away with a hard-fought win over a very strong Wanneroo side in the 16s.
However, the Bulls couldn’t get the back to back as Rockingham showed why they are the team to beat in a very dominant Under 17s game winning by 24 points.
